Laura B. Leff, MS, HN holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington; a Masters of Science degree in Holistic Nutrition from Clayton College of Natural Health, is a certified AAAI/ISMA Sports Nutrition Consultant; and finished an apprenticeship at Three Stone Hearth, a traditional style cooking community kitchen located in Berkeley, CA.

After losing my father in my late teens from stomach cancer and growing up with relatives that suffered from obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes, I developed a desire to seek out a healthier lifestyle for myself and others to prevent the suffering that comes from making bad food and lifestyle choices. These trials and tribulations throughout my life have led me to seek that vital balance within the body, mind and spirit that all of us human beings must have to be truly healthy.

My mission is to teach others the tremendous impact that nutritious food, proper rest, proper exercise and mental balance will have in their daily lives.  My counseling and cooking approach are holistic, meaning I view the mind, body and spirit as a whole unit working together to keep you healthy.

I do not believe in diets, everyone is biochemically unique and we need to learn how to eat and live according to our unique selves. I will educate you on the benefits of choosing organically grown, local foods; free range and grass-fed meats; raw dairy products, and raw fruits and vegetables.

I don’t only believe in eating foods straight from the earth, but I also believe in living in harmony with mother earth.  I can teach you how to switch your household goods into earth-friendly products; such as soaps, household cleaners, lotions, make up, toothpaste, shampoo, perfumes, tissue paper, colognes, etc.  I look forward to speaking with you. Be well.
